Writer / Poet
Westward Home
Miles and miles away he finds a new place to call home.
Out west, canyons are wide, mountains soar.
His name echoes from afar.
Mountains, rivers, rattlesnakes, and red rocks beckon.
Freedom flows in on a breeze.
This rugged land is a dream asleep in the wild.
Hiking through coniferous forest, pine aroma seduces.
A moose appears on the trail ahead.
Cautiously, he lets the behemoth pass.
Nature reveals the stirring beauty of the west.
Vistas unveil; he surveys the grandeur below.
Bison bellow beyond sunset. Westward home.
