Set into a hillside, houses heaped on one another,
this seaside village a kaleidoscope--
awash in yellow and salmon, capped with red tile roofs,
balconies lined with freshly washed laundry.
A hillside haven descends to the sea.
Looking out over the balcony,
a birds-eye view of the Mediterranean.
Ladders lean on lemon trees,
purple petunias cascade like freely flowing wine,
an ancient castle crumbles into the coast.
At the foot of the hill, blue waters hypnotize.
Pleasure craft cruise searching for memories to make;
seductive scents of fuchsias perfume the breeze.
An azure sky skirts the horizon,
moments melt into the sea .
